As your children grow, their needs change. What satisfied them in the past does not quite bring the same level of fulfillment that it used to in their lives. Parents must adapt to the physiological and emotional changes that occur in the lives of their children as they grow and mature. The same is the case with their spiritual development. The spiritual needs of preteen and teenage boys and girls differ drastically from the spiritual needs of elementary age children.

Additional pressures bombard our youth as they begin to enter puberty. Your son or daughter is discovering their sexuality and having urges that they never experienced before. In addition, exterior forces such as their peers begin to emit subtle and sometimes not so subtle pressures on their lives. Motivated to “fit in” and be accepted, many teens and preteens make judgment errors that can have lifelong effects. The youth ministry of The Faith Center has been designed with your young person in mind.

The youth ministry is tailored to address both the emotional and spiritual needs of today’s young person. We utilize what today’s children are going through in their daily lives as the basis of our subject matter and reinforce our teaching with sound biblical principles. We deal with practical and real life issues such as peer pressure, sexuality, anger as well as many other real life situations so that your young person feels equipped to deal with any situation that may present itself in their lives.

We humanize the characters of the Bible so that our young people can identify with these Biblical characters and see themselves in the scripture. This helps to bolster the principles described in scripture because they can see that their situations have been shared and overcome by countless others giving them the confidence to know that they too will overcome.
