Seniors are our greatest treasure. The wealth of wisdom gained by life experience is invaluable to this generation as well as to the generations to come. Unfortunately, our society has discarded this precious jewel deeming it to hold little to no value. The Faith Center seeks to reverse this flawed philosophy with the establishment of the Senior Ministry.

This ministry is designed to show the value of our seniors as well as create an atmosphere where the younger generation can glean the wealth of knowledge from these treasured people. This multi-faceted ministry will work to establish great bonds between the generations as well as minister to the older generation. The Faith Center will “adopt” senior communities, establishing relationships with the residents and visiting them frequently. There is nothing like knowing that someone cares and we will make sure that our seniors know we care for and love them. We also hope to establish mentoring relationships giving our younger people the opportunity to partner with one of the seniors in our ministry as well as seniors within adopted senior centers. Through this mentorship, it is our desire to see our young people gain valuable knowledge and understanding from the relationships established through this program.

But as much as we desire to glean from this precious generation, we also desire to minister to them as well. And keeping with the principles of The Faith Center, we will minister to the total man and not just the spiritual man. To that end, The Faith Center will seek to establish:

• wellness programs designed specifically for seniors.
• aerobic and exercise classes designed specifically for seniors
• health screenings designed specifically for seniors
• dietary programs designed specifically for seniors , and
• anything else that would assist this generation.

We desire to let our seniors know that their advanced age does not lessen their value, or the plans that God has for them. The Bible is rich with stories of men and women used by God at an advanced age and at the Faith Center, you will be valued, no matter what age you may be.
